Conduit Attic To Basement

I ve also thought about going outside from the basement and running conduit up the outside of my house to the attic.

I need to run low voltage wire in my house and i need to place 3 pvc conduit from attic to basement 9 ft. Is this a fire issue. Home owner tips upgrades and maintenance. If you have a basement have them run a blank vent pipe from the basement to the attic in case in the future you finish your basement and you like to add a bathroom or a sink down there all you have to do is connect.

I plan to run conduit 2 pvc from the ceiling in the first floor to the attic in the second floor. I can go with 2 if needed. This will allow me to distribute cat6 coax etc. I haven t done that yet and i haven t checked to see whether there are any.

Conduit from basement to attic. I ll start the holes for the conduit up in the attic and cut the 10 lengths of conduit into sizes that i insert into the walls from the attic. Do i need to pack each end with some sort of fire stop. I ll insert three sections at a time one in each hole and have someone on the floor below catch them in case the fireblocking is lower than the length of the conduit.

Gas line for bbq grill. I want to be sure that i don t damage the integrity of the top plate by drilling a hole too large in the top plate a 2 x 4 is 3 5 inches wide leaving 1 2 inch on either side of the hole for integrity. I would like to run 1 1 4 conduit from the basement to the attic in a new house to run telephone and cable tv cables. My house is two floors with an insulated attic above the second floor.
